NC Home Inspector License #6010

Buying a home means more than signing a contract. It means choosing where your life will happen—and deciding where to put a significant part of your money. Royal Home Inspections treats that decision with the attention it deserves.

Derek personally performs each inspection. He does not stack multiple home inspections into the same day. Instead, he gives one property his full focus, with time to examine the accessible systems, document what he finds, and discuss the results with you.

A typical inspection takes three to four hours. Five hours are reserved in the schedule, because the condition of a house cannot be predicted from a listing photo. When a finding needs a closer look, there is room to investigate within the inspection’s scope rather than rush toward another appointment.

The goal is not to make a home sound perfect or turn every concern into a crisis. It is to give you clear, independent information: what was observed, why it matters, and where further evaluation may be useful.

Thoroughness is a choice.
We make it every day.

Time to do it properly.

One home inspection per day. A three-to-four-hour inspection in most cases, with a five-hour appointment window reserved.

Tools with a purpose.

Thermal imaging, moisture meters and gas detectors support a careful evaluation. Technology helps ask better questions; it does not replace judgment.

Clarity you can trust.

North Carolina licensed, with Errors & Omissions and General Liability insurance. Independent findings and no-pressure recommendations.

Not just a report.
A conversation.

You and your real estate agent are encouraged to join the end of the inspection. Derek reviews the important findings, answers your questions, and explains the home’s condition in plain language.

The digital report brings that conversation into focus with photographs and detailed explanations. Most reports are delivered the same day, so you can keep your decisions moving with useful information in hand.

Optional tests are recommended on their merits—not through a pressured sales pitch. Understanding the risks, benefits and costs helps you decide which services make sense for your property.
